Living in Ashburn Farm Virginia; Ashburn one of the best towns in America!

Ashburn Farm is a housing subdivision located in Ashburn, Virginia in good old Loudoun County. Ashburn has several main commuter routes such as; the Dulles Greenway, Harry Byrd Highway. The community opened for development in 1986 and its first residents bought houses in 1988. Ashburn Farm holds 3,844 homes, with 1,807 of them being single-family homes, and the remainder as townhouses, condominiums, or apartments.

Ashburn Farm is a great place to raise a family and the community has so many wonderful amenities that give Ashburn “FARM” it’s name. There are three outdoor swimming pools, Windmill Pool, Breezyhill Pool, and Summerwood Pool and we are home to the Barracuda Swim Team. A big draw for people who love to get outdoors are the many trails and two parks. Living adjacent to the Washington & Old Dominion Trail is a draw for many people. The Ashburn Regional Library is also located in the community. Ashburn Farm is also a relatively short distance away from the Dulles Town Center and Leesburg Corner Premium Outlets which are prime shopping districts in Loudoun County.

Sitting on the old Gray Dairy Farm, the Ashburn Farm Community amenities are extensive and feature 19 tot lots, 5 ponds stocked with fish (catch and release), and 28 miles of bike and exercise trails. Onsite management office & party room building is called “Windmill” which boasts a reclaimed windmill from the original estate, 12 tennis courts, 8 basketball courts, 2 soccer fields, 1 baseball field, and 1 beach volleyball court. Those are all in addition to the fields and playgrounds of the five schools located within the community.

School age children who attend public schools are part of Loudoun County Public Schools. Elementary school children (Kindergarten through 5th Grade attend are split between three schools. Students who live in the western part of Ashburn Farm attend Sanders Corner Elementary School which consists solely of Ashburn Farm residents. Students who live in the eastern part of Ashburn Farm attend Cedar Lane Elementary School which consists mostly of Ashburn Farm residents and some other smaller housing developments. Students who live in the northern areas of Ashburn Farm attend Belmont Station Elementary School which consists of students who live in Ashburn Farm, as well as Goose Creek Village, Belmont Ridge and Belmont Greene. Middle School students (6th through 8th grade) attend Trailside Middle School. Students in 9th through 12th grade attend Stone Bridge High School which is located in the northern part of Ashburn Farm.

Real Estate in Ashburn Farm is HOT! Home prices have jumped up because the neighborhood is so desirable and very affordable for the extensive amenities it provides. Monthly HOA dues are very low at less than $100/mo. As a fun side note,   I also live in Ashburn Farm with my family & 3 dogs. I, volunteer in my community as a PTA member and love selling homes as a Realtor living in this great community.
