Thinking of Making Ashburn Farm Your Home?

Thinking of making Ashburn Farm, Virginia your home? Great! It’s my home too. There were a few key reasons we moved to this area and those reasons stand true for people looking to buy in Ashburn today too. We moved here because we wanted more space. We were coming for a 1200 sq ft home in McLean with twins and 2 dogs. Having a fenced yard and walking trails nearby was high on that list too. Plus we wanted a community feel and good schools. Pretty much the same reasons others are looking today.

Ashburn farm has relatively low HOA dues $93/mo but you get twelve asphalt tennis courts, eight of which are lit and open from 6AM – 11PM daily, the remaining four are open during daylight hours.  Six of the tennis courts are also marked for pickleball.  There are also eight basketball courts around the community, two athletic fields, a pony league baseball field, and a sand volleyball court.  There are nineteen tot-lots in the community connected by over twenty miles of asphalt pathways that wind through approximately 200 acres of natural tree save areas and the numerous neighborhoods that make up the Ashburn Farm community.

The community has three recreational centers which all community members have access to: Windmill, Summerwood, and Breezyhill.  The Windmill Recreational Center includes a 50-meter swimming pool and bathhouse, four lit tennis courts, a large tot-lot, the Windmill Pavilion & grill area, a pony league baseball field, a two-acre Pond and a community center with a furnished large event room available for rent, as well as a large meeting / conference room that is also available for meetings or other events.  Summerwood Recreational area also includes a 25-meter swimming pool, a basketball court, a large tot-lot, and two lit tennis courts.  Breezyhill Recreation Center also includes a 25-meter swimming pool, large tot lot, two basketball courts, an athletic field and nearly a three-acre pond.  There are a total of five catch-and-release ponds in the community, four with a fountain and three are aerated; all were stocked in 2020.

Along with the community amenities, you have access to the Ashburn Library, and two county parks.  Trailside Park which borders Ashburn Farm Community, and the W&OD Trail includes a large parking lot, an in-line hockey deck, multiple baseball fields, pitching and batting cages, and a huge tot-lot.  Greg Crittenden Memorial Park & Little League field off of Windmill Drive includes a large parking lot, multiple ball fields, pitching and batting cages, a tot-lot and multiple grassy areas. The W&OD Trail is accessible from Association’s and County asphalt trails at multiple locations in the community.

On any given week you can find a neighbor to hang out with and enjoy a cold beverage. We always loved hanging out with our neighbors and letting the kids be kids. A big part of my life when my twins were younger was being on the PTA at the local elementary & middle schools. Volunteering with my community is so important to me and serving my community as a real estate resource in my goal. You can always text me for a recommendation or ask my opinion about an update you are considering. Whenever possible I hire vendors from the community too. My electrician JD Michaels Electric is an Ashburn Farm resident, my home inspectors from Ridge to Foundation are Ashburn Farm locals too!

If you or someone you know is considering Ashburn Farm I hope you think of me! I am not just your local Realtor but a neighbor too.
